YOU DON’T HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAMPSITE

ON-SITE ACTIVITIES

Take the stress out of planning your next school camp at Tandara in the Grampians . Call us and we’ll help you plan a program and activities that meet your needs and goals.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities. Scroll down to check them out.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

If the weather turns bad, we’ve got you covered. Our indoor facilities table tennis, pool, foosball and air hockey, all available for casual use. We also have a supply of wet-weather games on hand. With prior notice, we can organise trivia and quiz events.

HIGH ROPES

High Ropes is our most popular on-site activity, and for good reason. Our fully qualified team members will challenge your students to take the ‘Leap of Faith’, the ‘Vines’, ‘Flying Kookaburra’ and ‘Crate Stacking’ to heights of up to ten metres.

ARCHERY

A popular activity, students and staff can try their hand at hitting the bullseye.

BOOMERANG PAINTING

Students use their creativity to paint their own boomerang using aboriginal art.

BUSH COOKING

Students test out their cooking skills making damper the way stock-men and bush-rangers use to, over an open fire.

FRISBEE GOLF

Students test out their skills on a 9-hole Frisbee Golf course around camp.

GROUP INITIATIVE COURSE

Challenge your students to work together to solve/complete a variety of tasks that encourage teamwork, develop leadership skills and are loads of fun. This can be done as a whole group activity or as part of the rotations.

LOW ROPES

The Low Ropes Course gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves and look out for others as they work their way through a variety of elements designed to test their abilities.

NATURE WALK / SCATS & TRACKS

Takes these work sheets on one of the local short walks with a small group and look out for the variety of local animals or evidence that they are around: free of charge

NIGHT WALK / STAR GAZING

Explore the world of the many nocturnal animals and treat them to one of the best views of the Milky Way.

ONSITE ZOO VISIT

Jamie & Kim’s Mobile Zoo. An educational session with the animal handler where the students are able to touch or hold a snake, lizard, wombat, baby crocodile and other wildlife.

ORIENTEERING

Using a compass and bearings, the students find their way around camp to find the answers to a variety of questions about the Grampians region.

PHOTO/WORD HUNTS

In these activities students use the power of observation to search for the location of various photo’s or three letter words scattered around the Tandara campsite.

SPORTS FIELD

We have a large sports field, easily observed by camp leaders from the verandas. We usually offer groups plenty of sporting equipment, free of charge. However, under our COVID Safe Plan, we are asking that you BYO sporting equipment.

We’re happy to help you plan your program.
