OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES

You could find plenty of activities to fill your program without having to leave Tandara. But we suspect you’ll want to explore some of our incredible natural surroundings. Below are some suggested off-site activities.

We are happy to help you plan your program and make bookings with our trusted service providers. Please note however that off-site activities are not included in your Tandara Camp charge.


Bushwalking

Tandara is at the heart of the famous Grampians walking trails. Download the map below to see how close we are to the trails, which cater for all degrees of fitness and skill. Some of them include:

Pinnacle – 4 hours. Three different routes to explore to the Pinnacle, the spectacle of the Grampians, which views over the valley of Halls Gap.

Boronia Peak – 3 hours. This walk is a beautiful climb to the peak with views directly above the Tandara Camp grounds.

Mackenzie Falls – 2 hours. From Lookout Point, an Easy Walk. The walk to the bottom of falls is classed a Medium Walk as there are a lot of steps to descend to the bottom of falls.

Chataqua Peak – 2 hours. Chataqua Peak is a small peak in the centre of Halls Gap with views overlooking the township.

Fyans Creek Loop – 1 hour. Starting at Tandara this walk follows Fyans Creek along to Brambuk and loops around to return on the other side of the creek, Good for a Night Walk.

Venus Baths or Silverband Falls – 1 hour. Easy Walks on the flat top; some beautiful water features of the Grampians.

Mountain Bike Riding

Check out the views with a guided mountain bike ride throughout Halls Gap.

Kayaking

Test your paddling skills out with experienced staff on the beautiful Lake Bellfield and have a good splash with each other.

Brambuk Visit

Get along to the Aboriginal Cultural centre and learn all about the history of the Aboriginal People.

Gold Rush

Discover the history of the Gold Rush era in the Grampians region.
> Visit Gum San Ararat to learn all about the Chinese culture and their history on the goldfields.
> Day trip to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat (2hrs one-way) to explore the location of the greatest alluvial gold rush the world has seen.

Mini Golf

Grampians Adventure Golf. Have a round of mini golf on the spectacular 18-hole course.

Rock Climbing/Abseil

Hanginout. With experienced guides you get to climb up natural rock faces and abseil down them with this half day adventure! Can be made into a full day activity if a hike is added.
